Windscreen Washers?

My winscreen washers have stopped working (yes - the bottle is full)?

The pump is still making a noise which suggests it is working but ... no water appears at the jets (which I think are clear).

All suggestions welcome.

BTW where is the pump situated?

Thanks

Try sticking a pin into the washer jets, they sometimes get a bit cloged up,I did this, and now there fine.

If not blocked,it could be the one way valves under each jet which eventually get "sticky" with wash additives etc,They are not that expensive-they appear to be common across the range,be it 924S,964,944 etc,i am sure there was aforum post not that long ago about them.

This happened to me last year. The squirters on the headlights only work when they feel like it, so I had a 2litre bottle of water that I popped out of the sunroof until I got it fixed; fine below 70 but you got soaked above that :)

The pump is in the passenger side (left) wing, behind the headlamp fitting. It's a bit of a pig to get out due to wires only being long enough to reach it (usually installed whilst the wing is off), hence I took mine in.

However it wasn't the pump, the pump was fine; the outlet from the tank had blocked up so the tank needed flushing.

Also worth a quick check, the hose with water in goes into the bonnet compartment. Mine didn't work once because it had been dislodged when I'd put something in there. Worth a check, just see if water comes out the bottom of the wing when it's stationary and you squirt it.

OK. Thanks.

A few things to check when the freeze passes!

Somehing simple along these lines would be my wager.

What Screen wash do you use? Porsche Own?

I use Porsche own and my friend did, and when he ran low he used normal screen wash. Never mix porsche's own screen wash and normal screen wash. It blocks the jets up! It turns into wax! We had to remove the jets and dismantle them to clean it out and flush the tank out too.
Don't know if this might be your problem?
