Does your wiper have a spoiler on it to keep it pushed onto the screen? If it has, was there much side wind to blow it off the screen?

evening all,
decided to take the car for a mid week run to work and back, circa 100 miles, rained most of the way, but still a great drive, only thing at 70mph plus the drivers side windscreen wiper tended to move onto the screen surround and lift off the screen, resulting in a "clacking" noise.. nothing serious but can not believe this is a "design fault"...Car has new screen, new wiper blade with original wiper arms...any feedback would be appreciated, thanks!

I had a similar issue when I first got my 996. the garage fixed at the service by undoing the bolt and rotating the wiper slightly. the wiper in its default position was resting on the shroud, is that were yours is?

Hi Chris, thanks, had a quick look, when parked the drivers side wiper sits parallel with the shroud whilst the passenger side wiper sits up at a slight angle. If I move the drivers side wiper round one spline then it will sit down at a angel and possibly touch the passengers side wiper plus will look a bit odd? Bst Andy
All 996/Boxster/Cayman seem to have the driver's side drooping slightly when viewed from the front when parked, ie not appearing to be parallel with the bottom of the screen. Though the when like this two ends of the driver's wiper are each about the same distance from the screen surround. In my experience it has to be like this to avoid clacking on the right side screen surround under some conditions.
