Advice Please

My RS needs a new screen. Glass people say they can only get one with the green tint accross top of screen. Looks to me like the original screen has no tint.

Would you hold out for a clear one or go for the green tint ?

thanks
James

I belive my screen is original and it has the top tint. It also has a fine piece of wire which runs vertically down the middle of the screen which is the aerial - for those of us who have a radio...

Hi there
Dont live in the uk so cant comment on screen availability over there but I can tell you that if you dont get an original screen the fit may not be as good.If you have insurance on the car make sure that you get an original part. This will then have the correct tint and an aerial if there was one there from the start. It may also need a new screen moulding.Once again a GENIUNE FACTORY part is definately what you need.A good portion of the windscreens world wide now are Chinese and are not the same as the German originals. It would also be a very good idea to make sure that the glass company installing the screen have experience in the type of installation required.Hope this helps
