Peter and Jayne Raine have kindly offered the use of their house and surrounding grounds and buildings for us to do some sort of Christmas/Winter get together as agreed in the October and November meetings.
After driving to Ashbourne, Peter Raine will meet a pre-booked group of Porsche Club members . He will then lead them on a scenic route through the lovely countryside around Ashbourne to Norbury Manor in Norbury. Norbury Manor is the home of Peter & Jayne and their family, in addition is the beautiful mediaeval manor owned by the National Trust set in a formal Knot garden & surrounding grounds & formal walks leading down to the River Dove. Also visits to the adjacent church with 15th century tombs & wonderful restored glazed chancel dating from 1306.
A festive lunch will be provided for the group. It will consist of- A warm welcoming (non-alcoholic) drink on arrival, with nibbles Vegetable soup with warm rolls, cheese & fruit, a selection of sliced meats, potatoes & salads, dessert with tea or coffee, wine & non-alcoholic drinks to accompany the meal.
Parking is limited to about 15 cars but should provide a wonderful photo opportunity.
Numbers are limited to 30 maximum therefore pre booking is essential.
A donation of £5 (regardless of age) towards the cost of refreshments is requested.
Places are very limited, so if you want to go, contact Phil Mansfield as a matter of urgency. See the Region 8 Section of the website for contact numbers or e-mail r8@porscheclubgb.com
