Winter to Summer Wheels and Tyres Noise

I have just swapped over to summer wheels and tyres (997 Turbo wheels) on my 997.2 C2S and have noticed that on full lock there is "thunking" at low speed manoeuvres, something that I remember occurring on my 54' 997.1

I thought this has been engineered out and also, it didn't occur on the winter wheels and tyres which were on the car when I took delivery in Dec.

Presumably there isn't a wrong way to fit the summer wheels? (Direction of rotation? / spacers ?). I'm guessing it's a case of "they all do that". Be nice to confirm though. Also handling feels a bit fidgety from cold but perhaps that's just my brain re-dialling back into slightly different handling characteristics.


 
Maybe you're referring to front tyre-scrub due to the Ackerman steering angle. This has been discussed at some length on this forum and is normal. Of course, the tyres may be fouling on the wheel arches, but this can be checked quite easily. Wheel realignment may become necessary in that case.

Not sure it is of any relevance what so ever, but I think the Turbo wheels will be a different off set as they are for the wider body.

Scrub that: fronts are the same off set.
