Winter Tyres

Hi. I'm new to this forum and to Porsche ownership. I've just bought a 718 Boxster S with 20" Carrera S wheels. I would like to use the car through the winter and am looking at winter tyres. I am struggling to find winter tyres to fit this size wheel. Can you advise me please on: a) where to buy winter tyres of this size that are suitable, or b) should I consider a new set of wheels and winter tyres of a smaller size instead. Any advise would be much appreciated.

I’ve just bought a set of 18 inch winter wheels and tyres for Porsche. Cost about £1800 including PCGB discount. You may struggle to fine a set of winter tyres to fit 20s

You may be asked for your PCGB membership number when you order. They'll add it to their system so that any other parts or accessories you order you'll automatically get the discount.

Many thanks for the advice. New 18” wheels and winter tyres bought from Silverstone Porsche this afternoon, with PCGB discount. Very helpful.

Well done - you were lucky that they had a set in; I hear of people struggling to get winter wheels and tyres at the moment. The approved fitment are for either 18” or 19” wheels for the 718 / S / GTS.

There is a 20” option but only for Spyder / GT4. You’ll be amazed at how more more grip you have in cold conditions.
