Winter wheels and tyres

Hi,

Does anyone know the recommended winter wheel and tyre sizes that can be fitted to a c2s?

I am a prospective buyer and want to know if my current spare 17" 996 wheels will fit.

If anyone can copy the page from the owners manual with the details that would be great.

In the 996 manual it lists a number of 17" and 18" alternates of various widths which are approved for fitment (winter wheels)

Many thanks

Thanks Geoff. This helps but I found that with the 996 the owners manual lists sizes which are approved which is not published in winter tyre catalogues. 17" wheels are not listed in the brochure you sent but I think maybe they are suitable??

Can't answer you question directly Russ but see here http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=727641 I have a suspicion that the 17" wheels may not clear the calipers on a 997S?

17" spacesaver wheel fouls the front calipers on S variant so assume standard alloy will have the same problem. Also 17" not approved by Porsche for 997 models.

many thanks all. Looks like its a no then. I found a download of the owners manual and the apporved sizes are not listed now. It just says refer to Porsche. oh well
