Help

I'm just replacing the linkage and motor for the windscreen wipers and have managed to remove everything apart from the nut that connects the unit to the bulk head. How the hell do you manage to get to the little bugger!! Tried for 45 mins last night but just can't work it out, do i need a special tool or am I a special tool??

Any advice most appreciated.
Cheers
Simon

Someone mentioned in that thread to use penetrating oil and one of those socket extensions with a U/J in it.

I've never done the job so can't help at all other then that!

It is a tight squeeze but I did it by using a swan-neck ring spanner to loosen the bolt, then using a socket with my fingers to undo it. A bit of wrist contortion is needed but was relatively easy. Refitting was a bit trickier as you are trying to locate the bolt hole by feel, but didn't take too long. I didn't need any penetrating fluid as the bolt wasn't siezed or corroded and came out nicely. Proper engineering.
