Wiper/Roof failure - Related?

Hi.

3 weeks ago the rear wiper stopped working, last week on the way to the Cotswold rally the sunroof decided it was not going to open[]
The roof closed ok 1st thing in the morning, now nothing.

Will be looking into this at the weekend, anyone have any thoughts, pointers as to where to start??
Coinicendence or related problem?

Thanks

Hi Andy
Dont think there is likely to be any connection between the two - there are on completely different wiring tracks/fuses etc, however they are obviously in the same area, as are the switch, so it maybe worth checking that nothing is pulling on the various plugs and sockets, just making sure they are fully home.

Thanks Mike,

Going to check it all out over weekend, printed out the clarkes garage info today so hopefully will be able to find the problem.

So I gets the car out of the garage, then before I do anything I thinks I will try the roof & wiper switches again......hey presto they both work
and have continued to do so all weekend!

Mind you, had the roof out most of the time this weekend.

Any ideas? possibly an earth?

I'm no expert Andy but I reckon earth problem too. I don't know on the 944 but if there's any main earth straps from engine to body I would check those, plus back of the fuse box (if it's still in footwell on yours??) in case has ever got damp/rusty

Cheers
Andy
