Bottom.... Drivers side... It [should] push the wiper on the screen when going fast.

Although, mine still make the most horrid screaching noise and miss a part of the screen infront of the passenger..

Any advice!

I am guessing, but I would say the bottom. Although none of these cars are Porsche, my Golf and the wifes Polo are this way round and my old BMW was as well.

Mine don't screach, but the passenger side doesn't wipe as well as the drivers side either.[:'(]

you probably have a build-up of crap on the blades or the screen, or the blade needs replacing.
My problem is the that the driver's blade doesn't sit perfectly on the screen, the end of the blade that wipes the middle of the screen always leaves a trail behind. It's a minor problem but it does crack me up. Anyone else noticed this?

No - i thought that so replaced the blades... However still happens... I think it might be somethign to do with the pressure of the blade on the screen. I am unsure about how to lower the arm pressure...

Anyone...?

Damn keyboard.... The IT team have just replaccccccccced it...

Ah, moooch beeeta.

Cheep gag, sorry [;)]

Passenger side wiping is a definite problem - must be horrible sat in that seat looking through a dirty windscreen.

Hold on, just had a thought: What's it like on the passenger side of the car anyway?

Wiper Judder (the jump or the screach) is usually the fault of the wiper arm, not the blade

The blade should sit at 90 degrees to the glass, poor handling of the arm when cleaning the rubber wiper bends the steel slightly, judder can also occur when the blade itself is very old and the joints become loose.
If the arm is slightly bent the wiper wips well in one direction and judders in the other, if the wiper blade is worn out it will judder in both directions.

James,

Wonder if you (or anyone else) can help me? Before I try out the wipers advertised by Carparts as having won out against several other makes in an Auto Express test, is the only difference you can see in the ones you have just bought from Porsche re. the spoiler thingy? I.e. as far as you can tell, is each the same length and shape? (the Carparts ones have no spoiler and appear identical).

Cheers,
Mike.

Hi all,,
just gone to replace my wipers today,, the ones i have on are both 22inch blades,, but the recommened are 22 drivers and 20 passengers... the other problem i have found is the passenger one is curved... i guess this is because its 22 inch
can anybody tell me can you get curved or has previous owner bent it to fit?

Also was looking at borsch ones any ideas on good ones

If you buy non-OEM straight ones they aren't much (if any) cheaper in my experience than buying the real ones from Porsche Centre (particularly with PCGB discount). Don't forget a straight passenger side one will foul the windscreen surround unless you reposition the wiper arm on the spindle.
