Hi all,

Washed my car this morning and noticed I have a 2" thin black plug sticking out of the front spoiler on the L (as you look at it) of the car. Attached to a couple of black wires rather than a hose, so doesn't appear to be headlight wash. Lights work...

Any ideas what it is and if its supposed to be there??

Thanks

Craig

Outside air temp sensor. Should have a pointed thingy attached to the wires & attached through a round fitment under the grille divider. Sorry for the slightly vague description :)

What Nick said. Ignore the mesh grilles, but you can see the tip of the sensor, and the round clip it goes into.

Does it ever need to be cleaned with dirt/spray from road covering the sensor tip?

I assume the black point bit is a weatherproof cover for the actual temp sensor?

Many thanks Nick and Richard. Will see if I can reattach when its light enough to see what I'm doing! At least that works too I noticed today. I may have dislodged it sticking my arm in to clear leaves from the radiator/ condensors[&:]

Mesh, mesh, mesh...

Craig
