Wiring Diagram

Please could anyone advise where I can download or obtain a wiring diagram(s) for a 911, 996 Cab. The specific area I'm interested in relates to the wiring of the spoiler in the drivers side footwell fuse box area. I've been given a new OEM spoiler position indicator that fits in a switch blank. The unit came complete with wiring harness and very basic fitting instructions. Before fitting I would like to confirm its installation. Any advise appreciated. Thanks

Hi,

It might be worth also asking this in the "996" sub forum - not everyong reads all sections

Yes, your correct its as advertise on ebay. The box, instructions and packaging all looked original and the item is very well made. Only time will tell if it does what it said on the wrapper. Thank you for the support and information. [:)]

BTW, I don't think what you have is a Porsche part, as I don't believe they make such a thing. The part number you quote is for a blanking plate. Is this one of the indicators I have seen on eBay, which flashes while the spolier is moving, and comes on when it is up?

Hey Richard. Very useful site that. I downloaded *all* the documents for future ref.
I noticed that whenever I starup Adobe Reader on these documents it always complains
that file "996INDEX.PDX" is missing. Do you or anyone else have that file?

I think that the problem is that Rick hasn't hosted that file. It's an Acrobat Index file which was obviously part of the original document set. If you have the full version of Acrobat you can just delete the reference to the index in the document properties, and it won't look for the file when you open the document. The index file is used for fast searching the whole of the document set.

There should also be a sub-directory and other associated files for it to work correctly, so the 996index.pdx file isn't much use by itself.
