Can anyone kindly advise on where I might obtain the tool that separates wiring loom connectors, such as the one in the electric flag style wing mirrors?
Many thanks.

Many thanks. Yes that looks right. Sorry I couldn't describe it better. Behind the electric mirror there is wiring to the motor, which is a round fitting in two parts, male and female that slots together. I need to push clips in to release the connector.

Welcome ... but without knowing the connector type it may be possible to depress the clips with a small screwdriver or similar ?
Being `round`, does it require rotating ?

I used the very small watch screwdriver you get in a set,but not ideal-I must buy a set as above link the sets of 5 look good enough, the use they will get.
Tip:- write down the wire colours both sides of the round connector before removing any with their position relative to the triangular key /notch
