Wiring route from engine bay to cabin

My rear number plate fell off

. It had recently been changed from a private plate when I bought it a couple of weeks since.

I therefore bought one of those plate holder with built in reversing sensors as my car did not come with reversing sensors as standard and the wife may borrow it

.

Now I have fit these to a number of my cars before but they did not have the engine in the boot and a bit more room to play with.

I have everything assembled and wired together but at the moment the command module and speaker are in the engine bay and really need to be somewhere in the cabin.

Any recommendations or guidance in what is the best route to take - ideally somewhere will a bit of space but not visible such as below the rear parcel shelf or under the rear seats.

Thanks

Richard, you should be at least given honarary membership for all the technical assistance you give people on here. There's seldom a post left unanswered.
It's not a particularly busy board these days, I think a lot have moved on to 997 or Turbos and if it weren't for your help, a lot of posts would remain open ended.

Well done.

Thank you very much for the comment.

I think the 996 forum is reasonably lively now, and the nice thing is that the people who are here are enthusiasts. I guess that's because the cars are now more affordable as some of them approach 10 years old. More people seem to be doing DIY on them - sometimes in a big way, notably people like Steve Edwards (skyline1, see the thread "Body mods") and others on a smaller scale such as brake changes, header tanks, and general maintenance. I think it's all positive for the model, and there seems to be more interest from owners with older models who are now realising what a great car the 996 is. Long may it continue, and I'll do my best to help when I can.
