Wishbone Bushes??

Hi All!

I had my wishbone bushes replaced at a well respected Independant just 12 months ago

An inspection by my OPC today suggests that they need replacing again.

I've only covered 8k miles in those 12 months.

Is this normal?

Any comments appreciated

Definitely not. My car is still on the originals as far as I know - 78,000 miles and counting.

If you drive over speed bumps every day (as I do) they get a real hammering. It is just possible but fairly extreme I'd say.

I would take it back to the well respected independant. Did they put new bushes in or change the whole wishbone?

The approved Porsche method is to change the whole wishbone.

PP - they changed the whole wishbone.

Already booked in for next week.... was just curious of other people's experiences.

Thanks all for the replies... I'll let you know how it all pans out.

Don't discount the possibility that the OPC doesn't know his arse from his elbow on a 993 and that the wishbone bushes are in fact fine.
