Hi
I have a quick query regarding wishbones for the 993 - I have been changing the suspension and wishbones today, however I have come across an anomaly with the wishbone ball joint fixing.
My original Porsche wishbones have an M12 threaded rod at the end where the ball joint goes through, adjacent to the caster eccentric bolt - for some reason the new wishbones have an M10 threaded rod instead?
Having checked the parts catalogue it shows either an m12 or m10 lock nut for the threaded rod section of the wishbone - but there are no different/updated part numbers for either the wishbones or the ball joint section which suggests that the M12 has not been superceded.
Obviously as my original wishbones had an M12 threaded rod the hole on the ball joint section is M12 - but I now have an M10 threaded rod going through it (which potentially leaves 1 - 2 mm of play).
Can anyone shed any light on this please - perhaps someone who has carried out a suspension upgrade/wishone renewal?
Many thanks
