Wobbling rear view mirror!

The self dimming Rear view mirror on my '05 Boxster S has become decidedly wobbly over the past week or so.
It appears to be loose at the point where the unit joins the glass of the windscreen.

Is this something that can be remedied by myself or a garage job?
If the former - how and what do I need (bear in mind Ikea book case is my level), if the latter what kind of cost should I expect.

Any advice gratefully received - not sure how much longer I have before it loses purchase completely.

cheers,
James

If it's the self dimming kind then it has electrical connections, make sure that anyone working on this understands that or a broken wire will wreck it and stop the door mirrors from dimming if it is like the 987 type since the sensor which controls all three is in the internal mirror.

Just to close this thread off ...
Took the car to Porsche Reading in November - only solution in their opinion being the fitting of an entirely new windscreen which the'd be pleased to supply and fit for £1,100.
Actually got the issue resolved yesterday by GLASSTEC AUTOMOTIVE in North London at essentially no cost!

Paul Ralhan, the proprietor, specialises in Porsche and I cannot rate the guy highly enough - prompt, friendly, very knowledgeable.
Suggest he would make an excellent first contact with any windscreen related issues for other members in the South.

Thanks,
James
