Buyers of new Porsches rarely get a discount, but importer Morgan Moss International has some tempting offers. Their price for a 911 Coupe, built to UK right-hand-drive specification and fitted with a manual gearbox is £59,676. That works out as a saving of £5526 off the list price of £65,000, and they are confident of beating the delivery times quoted by UK dealers.

Just be very careful! Your imported UK spec car will possibly be noted as such and hence an OPC will not buy it from you. Consequently this will affect the residual value. You don't get something for nothing.

More seriously, you have no come back against Porsche Cars GB if you have 'sale of goods' or out of warranty issues. If they didn't import the car they can't be responsible for it.

I wasn't thinking of buying an import was more intrigued by the savings one can still make despite the £ Euro not being very attractive at the moment ... Guess we are still paying over the Euro odds for our Porsche's []

OPCs in Europe frequently offer discounts. I've been told that in Germany it's pretty much standard to expect at least 4% off a new 911. Upto 7% for repeat customers, if I remember correctly. Although dealers there are not always keen to offer these savings on UK spec cars.

Just to be sure, is it a Carrera S ?

Marc I read about MM International in "What Car" at the dentists this week it had a picture of a Cayman with the caption £2500 off UK list and delivery within 4/5 months from order etc so I googled MM and found the above offer on a 997. I assume they can supply any model Porsche 997, "S" Turbo Cab etc etc but you would need to phone and see whats on offer

Thanks Daro', I was only asking because your initial posting mentioned a £5k savings on a 997, but at £59k it would only be a £5k savings if the car in question were a Carrera S. So was just asking out of curiousity more than anything else.
