Hi All

Just a quick note to thank everyone who came along to Woodvale Rally today for supporting us. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves and had a speedy run home. If you have any images of the event, please let me have them as I will be putting an article together for October Porsche Post (Septembers copy date was 1st August.)

For the record we won 3rd Place for club stand, behind two excellent entries by the 2 Land Rover Clubs

Special thanks to the organisational team:

The Catering Corps: Judy, Sue, Janice, Terri and Hazel for organising the excellent buffet, and refreshments all day.

Stand organisation and car parking: Dean and Mac

Security and manning R18 Race Centre: Fred.

Green Keeper: Colin Appleton (who cut the grass on Friday evening and Saturday morning)

Logistics: David Delaney

Marquee Loan: Phil Clark

And to the team who stopped behind to dismantle the marquee and display in such an efficient way.

And finally special thanks to everyone who brought their car along to make such an impressive display, and for bringing food for the "˜Jacob's Join' Buffet

Time to start planning for the 2008 Event which will be held on the 2/3rd August. Please put a note in your diary

Regards
David

Many thanks for the invite! Great organisation! David you even organised the wearther! Not sure on Fred with the security thing though! Perhaps its the sharpness of his tongue thats dangerous eh lol [:D][:D]

Craig,
That tongue has been honed to perfection. If that fails they get impaled on a crutch.
You have got some mighty big chickens down your way. Must be an amazing sight when a flock of them fly overhead[:)].

Another success for R18's Woodvale event. A good turnout of people, members and non-members (you know who you are![;)]) and a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Even Auntie enjoyed himself.[:)] Weather on Sunday was better than we could have hoped for.
See you all there next year hopefully.
Now off to clean the Race Centre up for it's visit to Ragley Hall in September.

Cheers,

yes i know who i am you cheeky swine hindle!!![:D]

I've got just under a year to find another porsche to win back my rightful 'best in show'monicker or David has threatened to exile me to the austin allegro register[&:]!!

Nice to see everyone again...I may even turn up to some club nights if you promise not to throw stones at me![:D]

A waste of good stones[:D].

Good to see you and yours (wife and daughter not those silly things hanging out of your shorts) again Jeremy.
I think next year I'm going to stick a Porsche badge on the Jeep and enter the competition myself.
That was a lovely original 356 that won on Sunday.

Cheers,

true, that 356 was the bees knees

I agree they followed me back to the tunnels, Husband in 356, wife and son in 993 turbo4.

I kept telling Mary thats why I need an orange 997 GT3 so we both have Porsches, other families do it![:D][&o] but I couldn't afford two Porsches and continue to invest in Jimmy Choo! lol[&o][&o]

Jimmy choo and my wife are abit like Laurel and Hardy or Gin and Tonic, they go together![8|]. I could get rid of one but the other one would cost me so much I couldn't afford one Porsche turbo let alone two![&o]

Craig,
I know of a way in which you could cut the shoe bill in half. It worked for me.[;)]

Cheers,

Fred!!that is a terrible joke

its funny mind you...but terrible nontheless!![:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D]

(I been looking at some cars on t'internet..Just dont tell the wife[;)]!!!)

It's the way I tell 'em![:)]

Zeb - My philosophy (get someone to explain that word to you!) is if you can't extract the urine from yourself don't extract it from other people.
"Colostomy bag Sir?" [;)]

Cheers,

'tis true my friend 'tis true

I will be extracting the urine from from you for many years to come[:D]

thanks to everyone, was a brilliant day.
I second that! Number 2 son who tagged along with me thoroughly enjoyed it too. So much so that now he's passed his apprenticeship he's saving up for a nice pre S2 944, so we might have an extra car there next year!
