You photographers are quick off the mark!!!

I've only juts finished storing all the equipment in my garage loft.

I hope everyone enjoyed Woodvale Rally today. On behalf of all the entrants I would like to offer my thanks to all the organising team and workers who made today possible.

For those of you who attended for the first time I hope you enjoyed the event and that you will come along next year. Put the 1st/2nd August 2009 in your diary now.

If you would like to attend as a Register, as the 928's did this year Region 18 will be delighetd to welcome you.

I hope the members from North West, North Wales and Yorkshire Regions will come back again next year, and bring along others from your region.

Please e-mail me any images which I can use in the article I will be writing for Porsche Post.

Also if you have any images or information about other attractions going on at the rally, please let me have these, as I didn't get time all weekend to venture very far from our pitch, except to go to the rubbish dump.

Many thanks again to you all who attended. Without you coming along it would not have been such a friendly and successful event.

Oh and by the way we won 2nd in Class for the best club stand. An improvement from 3rd best last year. Lets make us No 1 in 2009.

Regards

David and Judy

Many thanks to all of the "Events Team", what a fabulous day. Can't believe David managed to book the weather again!

2nd prize for the stand undeserved... we clearly had the best stand there by miles.

Yep ..great day enjoyed by everyone

to win I feel we would have to have a pyrotechnic display and hurl cars 40 feet in the air..[:D][;)]

mind you colins idea of a lonely tractor in a field full of poo may have a chance ![:'(]

Hi All,
Let's not be despondent about not winning the best stand. Somewhere on this Forum there is a post about Porsche jealousy---maybe the green-eyed gremlins are alive and well and living in West Lancashire. We all know that our display was the best by far, we had the best catering arrangements, and the best group of friends all having an enjoyable time together. In my opinion the whole day epitomised Porsche Club at it's best.[:D]
Our thanks must go to everyone who helped, but especially to David and Judy, who spend months of their valuable time planning and organising the event which always seems so effortless on the day. (They wish!!!)
It was also great to see THREE Directors at Woodvale, who all stayed until the end. Thanks go to them.
Although many people were involved in the success of the weekend, for example, Colin who cut the grass and organised the race display, Phil who loaned us the marquee, OPC Bolton who transported the half car and loaned us a new Boxster, David and Janice who moved a mountain of equipment, our night watchmen etc.etc., there is one person who deserves a special mention. This guy works tirelessly for the whole weekend, walks miles, fetches, carries, manufactures, provides most of the fresh water, heating facilities, and most importantly the sanitation..........Fred Hindle we salute you.
Sue

Yep,I'll second that as well as praising David & Judy. Also,Les Mac et Sue sont a boss team of flexible tarmac layers;some of Sue's "tucks" have to be seen to be believed.[:D].Never had so much fun lying on the ground with her.(oops ,sorry Mac!).But Fred's precision cut kitchen top blocks surpassed anything Barry Bucknell could have achieved.(showing great age now). Thanks again to all who helped R18 & me.Just remember next year,Mac,we need a 300m roll of black duct tape!![:)]

Never had so much fun lying on the ground with her.(oops ,sorry Mac!).

Blimey! What did I miss, innocently wandering around the displays of classic cars?

I'd be careful Colin, of all the people in the world, I'd hate to get on the wrong side of Mac! I thought he was my friend... but as an act of extreme kindness he loaned me a device with an exposed razor blade for tidying up blobs of touch up paint on my car bonnet which I left in my driver's door bin. The bl00dy thing has now ripped my finger open 3 times when I have reached in for my sunglasses! God knows what he'd give me if I upset him!

Have to say, I thoroughly endorse everything that Mac says above, epitomised is a great word.

Rob,
You must have a large door bin if you can get your bonnet in it(apposition is also a good word.)[:D]Sorry,I didn't seem to get to chat with you & your kids;-would have liked to,but it was a great day all the same.
Cheers,
Colin.

think the "double entendre" was lost on you,Jes;in fact you're poles apart. Can't see why it should be my fault,I'm just an executive>

poles apart..love it![:D] and to think I never even mentioned your armless, hand or overall jokes either col ![;)]

This post is definitely 'flagging' now....[:D]
The only way to end this banter is for us all to acknowledge the tremendous contribution made by Jes in having a vertical pole erection on a world wide basis & anything else he is ,or was responsible for.I must say ,I did wonder why he kept swallowing those blue pills.Initially,I thought they were the non-white Yorkshire versions of the Lancastrian red ones used by us born on the corect side of the Pennines,to maintain our strength against those unfortunate to be born on the wrong side.[:D][:D]
