wooly steering

Hi everyone, I have just purchased a 1986 S2, and I must say it is the most amazing car and I am totally in love with it. The engine pulls so strong that I cant help grinning everytime I press the accelerator. The only issue with it is that the steering can feel a it wooly and sometimes drifts to the left, I have to hold the steering turned slightly to the right so that it can drive straight.
I also have an 89 944 and the steering on that is dead sharp and responsive and goes exactly straight. The person that I bought the 928 from said that the car shifts to the left because of the camber in the road but my 944 does not drift to the camber. I f only I can get my 928 steering to feel more like my 944, then I truly will be in driving heavan. Thanks for any suggestions.

Not that this forum is not capable of answering your question, but Rennlist.com is always good for these sort of things... I'm not sure myself about your steering problem, there will be something you can do to firm it up...
