WORKERS MEETING

Ian and Sharon,

Has this meeting taken place?

I would assume that Ragley formed part of the discussion - if so can you share any explanations that may have been forthcoming from the centre? The complete lack of any comment on the forum from Cornbury House is concerning, perhaps they think that members memories are short and that mushroom policy is the way forward!

Finally many thanks for attending on our behalf.

Andrew

Hi Andrew

The meeting isn't until November 18th, so still a while to go yet, but there will be a "brief wash-up of Ragley '07 to seed a significant discussion on 2008 events "" location, content, governance and manpower", the emphasis being looking forward but acting on constructive criticism of this year's event.

There was a post on the forum by the Chairman shortly after Ragley and a comment in this month's PP (page 11). Hopefully there will be more in next month's edition which promises a full report. We'll feeback any issues that arise from the workers meeting.

Ian

Many thanks - sorry for troubling you before the event.

I saw the single post from the centre ( which, significantly, was blocked from receiving replies ) and the comment in P.P.

Reaction to constructive criticism has to be the way forward but I feel sure that you will agree that the central team ( i.e. not the volunteer force ) should not indulge in any sweeping under the table of issues.

From my side I am happy to volunteer my services to help with next years event at any time if I can be of any assistance.

Andrew

Hi Andrew

I agree totally that any issues arising from Ragley shouldn't be swept under the carpet and judging by the posts on the forum about it lots of others who will be at the conference feel the same way so I'm pretty sure that views on the problems will be aired.

Thanks for your offer of help by the way, I'll keep it in mind.

Ian
