Workshop Manual

Hi,

What is the best bet for a workshop manual for the 944 (mine is a '92 S2 cab)?

I've seen several cd copies on ebay - are any of them any good?

Just looking for a general reference at the moment rather than a specific job.

Cheers,

Ian

I bought a copy off ebay and it is okay the only chritisism is looking on the index for items can sometimes be long winded to find otherwise worth having.

Sorry to ressurect an older thread, but the link above doesn't work any more.

Has anyone got a link to the manuals?

The Clarks link still works, yes, but the link to the actual workshop manuals is disabled.

Hi All,

Rick Cannell was very kindly hosting all of the 944 workshop manuals on his website for free download - but it's not working at moment. If you need the workshop manuals, you can also get them at: www.promax.eclipse.co.uk/manuals (only try if you have a high speed internet connection)

The actual links are:

www.promax.eclipse.co.uk/manuals/Vol1A-Engine.pdf
www.promax.eclipse.co.uk/manuals/Vol1-engine.pdf
www.promax.eclipse.co.uk/manuals/Vol2-tranmission.pdf
www.promax.eclipse.co.uk/manuals/Vol3-chassis.pdf
www.promax.eclipse.co.uk/manuals/Vol4-electrical.pdf
www.promax.eclipse.co.uk/manuals/Vol5-electrical.pdf
www.promax.eclipse.co.uk/manuals/Vol6-turbo.pdf

Rick does do a rather nice line in decals and stickers for all Porsche models. Take a look at www.cannell.co.uk (he gave me a nice Bedford West Circuit decal last time we were at the Bedford Autodrome)! [:)]

Regards,
Andrew

I got really excited then thinking I might be able to get hold of the 968 manual. I was sure I got it before but can't find it anywhere on my computer. Oh well just have to wait for the return of Ricks site.

Website back but still currently in old and malfunctioning format, however important things are there....

New format website still under development.

Thanks Rick, I got the 968 manual the other day. Its a biggie for sure and has already been put to good use.

Lucky I scanned it the other night because I would definitely not have noticed this bit 'coat of MolyKote paste HTP white on the spark plug threads'.

Need to go back now and see if it says the same for me S2.

Thanks, that's a good manual. But i was looking for one that covered body work as well ie removing bumpers and panels etc.
