wotty to Ullapool ?

Helen Goff

No.1 Poster
thinking of coming along to this but don't understand what the £15 is for.

if i have to book the hotel and everything myslef then why do i need to pay £15 to PCGB?

as no one seems able or willing to answer then i can only presume someones trying to get a freebie out us soft southerners. otherwise why bother having an application form posted out Nationwide with our copies of Porsche post. my maths works like this: 25x£15 = more than anough for a freebie week-end for a couple including petrol, food and drink.

:ROFLMAO: i know but, my scottish blood likes to know where and what my money is paying for......i can bring my own Panamera and 356 so don't need to pay to drive someone elses or pay for the clubs 356 to be delivered i could (trailer it behind my Panny) do that for free if i was taking part.

Did you really just type that what a ridiculous, inappropriate allegation to make - I think you should make a general apology to the organisers immediately. Did you try PHONING the organiser or club to find out what the charge is for?

Well I'm thinking of going, and as it is over my birthday the £15 is obviously a contribution to my birthday pressie [:D]

[>:]Hi everyone, I'm a member of Region 2 the Gain an Hour Weekend is great fun and normally well subscribed, there's nothing untoward about this, our RO and his Assistant are thoroughly decent people and Greig is right Helen you do owe them an apology[]. For clarity, the money is to cover expenses such as prizes over the course of the weekend for some of the fun competitions [:D]that are run, in addition, to the fabrication of Rally Plates which we attach to the cars which serve as momentoes of the time spent in the company of friends. The venue is superb[:D], the roads are superb[:D], the scenery is awesome[:D], the weather can be a variable feast[>:] but you are guaranteed a warm welcome from the members if you make the trek[:)]. best regards Paul

there thats all i needed to know...wasn't so difficult was it.....if something along those lines had been added in PP or on the leaflet we are to fill in then i wouldn't have asked. i've been on several of these PCGB woty's and they are always a good laugh and value for money which is why i quieried this extra charge...as i said i don't like parting with my money without knowing what it is i am paying for.

i wasn't accussing anyone of anything i was mearly pointing out that if you did the maths then an extra £15 from everyone who takes part. totals anough money to pay for another room for a couple plus their expensies.. and NO i didn't phone. i rarely use a phone for anything as i am as deaf as a door post plus a strong scottish (or any other) accent usually makes it even more difficult for me...

you need to re-read what you typed - you certainly did accuse the organisers of misconduct and an apology should be forthcoming immediately.
