Hi Everyone

We have eventually secured 14 rooms in a hotel in Wales (north Snowdonia) for a WOTY next 27/28 September.

Seiont Manor Hotel, Llanrug, Caernarfon, Gwynedd LL55 2AQ

www.handpickedhotels.co.uk/seiontmanor

The rooms are 120 per night for two people b & b and they are offering us a meal on Saturday night for £30 per head.

The rooms are only being held until the end of January so if you wish to join us you will need to phone the hotel and book a room before then.

I know it is a long way ahead but securing several rooms in this region ( with a good secure car park) has been quite difficult as most places seem to have only few rooms.

If you want to book a room or want more details email us at R8 or telephone 07768 317 346

Cheers
Kerry and Tom

Hi, A brilliant location for a WOTY and North Wales is so compact. I have been travelling on a regular basis to Bangor over the last 2 months to visit my mum in hospital there. The A55 is mainly a boring dual carriageway and I would suggest the A5 anyday for recreational driving. Rather than go through the Ogwen Valley to Bethesda I would suggest turnig left at Capel Curig towards Beddgelert and then turning right at the Pen y Gwryd hotel for the Llanberis pass. This is the hotel base used by the 1952 Everest Expedition. Through Llanberis and the Electric Mountain and on to Llanrug, Caernarvon. I can make it to Bangor from 12 miles East of Newark in just under 4 hours using the A 5 on a good day. Keith and Sue Helliwell (R4) 1996 993 Targa 1988 944 Turbo S now in Ireland

Hi David Kerry has not been very well and does all the "computer" stuff! At the meeting on Monday, I believe Tom said 5 or 6 cars were booked and the rooms in the hotel were now no longer on hold for us.

Hi Everyone Last count 12 cars were booked in and although the rooms are no longer on hold for us, if you wish to join us, give the hotel direct (not booking agent) a ring mention Porsche club to see if any more are available . The more the merrier Cheers Kerry and Tom

Oh well, missed this trip. Hope you have a great time. The Saturday night is now fully booked, a wedding perhaps. Regards David

Hello All This trip is nearly here, Beryl and I are booked in and we are really looking forward to it. Purely by chance my niece and her boyfriend are getting married there on Friday 13 September so we will have first hand knowledge of the place and let them know we are coming back. I promise not to mention Silverstone!!! See you all soon ALAN

Hi Everyone There has been a cancellation at the hotel so if anyone wishes to join us give the hotel a ring (details on the first post) and quote Porsche club Let me know either at club night or by private email if you are successful The more the merrier [:D] Cheers Tom

Hello Tom The names that appear to be missing is Tony and Jackie Williams (?). Silver/gray 996 convertable. They said last night that they had spoken direct to the Saiont Manor Hotel and now had a conformation number. See you all soon. ALAN

Hi Alan Thanks for the reminder How could I overlook Jackie and Tony [:)] Cheers Tom

Hello All Beryl and I have just spent two nights at the Seiont Manor Hotel. By chance my niece got married there on Friday 13, she is not superstitious. Hotel is very good, they can't do too much to help you. Lovely location and great views. Rooms are spaceous and comfortable. There will be little things that will let any place down, for example: for dinner we were on tables for 10 with a basket of only 8 bread rolls, at breakfast there were no tea spoons but if these are the only faults we will have a whale of a time. Remember to bring your swimming costumes for the indoor pool and the sauna. See you soon ALAN and Beryl

It was great to pass you guys out there in Wales over the weekend, and really nice to get loads of waves. Even more suprising to end up chatting to Tom and Jerry at the top of Evo Triangle, just goes to show what a small world it is.

Hello Tom and Kerry Just want to thank you for organising a wonderfull week end away. Lovely venue, excellent company and a wonderful route to travel. Thank you very much for all your hard work. We were not able to get to the top of Snowdon today, it was too windy so the train was not going all the way. Seems a good reason to go back. Alan and Beryl ps Now about Silverstone..........

Hi Mark (R7) thanks for the pic, Im following Tom and Kerry[:)] I can see what all the fuss is about with the Triangle now... BTW - Tom and Kerry, thanks for a great, relaxed WE away on great roads, with the bonus of seeing the Fun Cup at Anglesey Clarkey

Many thanks to everyone in r8 for adopting us for the weekend, Linda and I had a great time. Did the Evo triangle on Sunday and made the 911 fly a bit as we had to show some motorbikes how to go on! Got home at about 4 and I went straight to bed exhausted- that's what a good weekends rest does for you.[:D] Hope to see you all again sometime. Chris and Linda
