I would love to look around McLaren cars in Woking, both F1 and road cars. Has anyone from PCGB organised a trip around? Has anyone tried to organise a PCGB trip? Should I be asking my region organiser R16 if we could sort out a trip?

As Gary says, it's a great place to visit, but quite difficult to arrange. [8|]
The factory generally insists visitors are to be accompanied by a dealer representative and of course, dealers will only take time out if you have just bought or are a buying a car from them. []
It's something we've been thinking about as an outing for 997 Register for a while, but it requires access to the right people.
We're still working on it! []

Clive.

I have done two tours of the McLaren centre - once many years ago whenthe first wind tunnel was completed and more recently when I saw what was possibly the first production spyders.
I was offered to attend the visit through links through property/construction McLaren Partners rather than automotive and i will gladly make some contact to see if this may be an alternative way to arrange a PCGB tour.

Tony - that sounds like an excellent offer to me! Please count me and a passenger in if you have any luck.

Dylan, no interest in moving with the times on that one..
If I was a P1 owner I'd be miffed that they have copied the front bumper of an amazing car and put it on the 650S.. (sounds like something Porsche would do!!) []
The renaming also means that McLaren has side stepped a promise they made to many 12C owners.. [&:]
This things still amazes me and scare me at times, so will stick with it for a while longer..
