Would you buy a used RS from someone called Moonz Motorhomes???

http://dealerservices.autotrader.co.uk/GetDealer.do?did=441521&pageid=1

Talk about a bit dodgy...

IIRC it was for sale last year, being handled by John Glynn at the time
www.johndglynn.com
There was some link also to Walter Rohrl going back to its early years....can't remember the details.

A mate of mine went to see it and it has no sevice history bar 2 stamps and no proof that it is a genuine RS ,some speculation that the engine number is from a RS America and a 3rd party is selling it ?

Needless to say he walked away

Yup, someone I know spoke to them about it previously and the dealer refused to own up to the chassis number so we could confirm it was a real RS... insisted he'd "get the info direct from Stuttgart and come back."

He never did....

I found it on his blog, but the page doesn't open[&:]

dated July 29 2010

I seem to remember that Walter Rohrl was supposed to have done some work optimising the suspension.

mentioned here also

Anyone else not watching the Wedding?

I spent a July day in 1981 polishing my Alfasud.....

Looks like it's been removed from his blog?

I think it was supposed to have been a car used by a european outfit to 'design' some suspension set up for sale and was pictured with Walter R.

I do remember it had no service history and no proof of actual mileage though.

Maybe John will come on and post answers to the queries above highlighted on chassis and engine?

It does have an RS chassis number but not seen the car in the flesh. I have requested some more info, let's see what I get!

1992 RS chassis number... 1993 964 standard motor number... so no RS lump... but how different were they?

Yes, it was supposedly the Bilstein development car so no service history with it either....
