He's either died, emigrated or had his id stolen.

He's using selling manager pro and is still listing, this could all be automatic. In all reality something serious may have happened to him.

I bought one for about £300 from a well known retailer and have had no problems at all.

That'll be "you get what you pay for", then!

You got a gold plated and diamond encrusted satnav then Paul ?

he replied with one negative comment with this:

AFTER BEING AWAY DUE TO BEVEAVMENT EVERYONE IS BEEN CONTACTED

seems seriously out of character going by previous feedback, and hes a power seller so you would have been protected by that anyway iirc?

seems seriously out of character going by previous feedback,

I thought that because the items are mostly low cost.

I see loads of adds for cars where there is zero feedback or built up from lots of cheap items. Suddenly these people have 50 or more cars for sale on the same day!

Now these have to be scams.

You're not deliberately missing the point, are you? [8|]

Sat navs on e-bay for £35 could be a bargain, or could be a con. My point is that if you buy a Tom-Tom from Halfords, or a Garvin from Currys you will pay more but have no worries about being ripped off. That's my opinion, and I really believe that too many times I've gone for what looked like a cheap deal and it ended up costing me more in the long run.
