Time to renew my Lux insurance and the quote that I had from previous insurers was £309.00, 3000 mile limitation fully comp......so I phone around using PCGB magasine adverts.
Best quote with RH Classic Insurance with 5000 mile limitation=£117.00 now how cheap is that?[;)]

Top result...fully comp?

I just got mine at £410 11000 miles, Swinton...Norwich Direct quoted £620 for a renewal...been with them years...quote me well un happy! Why do these companies extract the michael from their loyal customers?

Without wishing to be annoyingly off-topic, at the same time I took £40000 of home insurance for £10 a month from Swinton, cancelled my previous £20000 policy at £15 a month and also cancelled one mobile phone insurance @ £10 a month, as it is now specifically covered in the new home contents insurance against loss, damage, and theft inside or away from home. Nett saving £225 a year hmmm 247 litres of super unleaded, that`s nearly 6 weeks FREE fuel at 11k miles a year (25mpg).[:)]

PS Sorry that`s way too much arithmetic for one evening! Off for several beers...

Yes thats fully comp,£50 screen protection,£100 excess.
On that subject of house insurance,I managed to claim back 12 months policy payments with a company that had insured us with contents cover and the same type of cover on another policy so in effect I was paying twice for cover that was not needed. It was a friend who was a financial adviser who put me right.[;)]
Back to the car insurance...Just goes to show that if my policy had risen by say £20 on last year I would have probably renewed with the same folks as before.

I'm with RH and pay only £250.

Its a classic policy though, so you have to have a second car and it has to be garaged at home at night after 10pm
