Any members had experience (good or bad!), regarding 993 servicing and mechanical repairs, with this independent in Wallingford (Oxfordshire)?

Regards
Anton

I'll start by saying that Tony Wright and I have been friends for more years than we both care to remember. He is an 'old school' mechanic, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed with the quality of his work. You won't get fancy coffee or a a glitzy showroom - just good old-fashioned service at a very reasonable cost. His prices are some of the best in the business. Why not just drop in there and have a chat and take a look. As I said, hardly an unbiased view, but an honest one.

I wrote and recommended Wrightune on this Forum about 5 years ago when I first bought my 993 cab. he does all teh mechanical work and also sourced a very good door stay repair for only £125 when it eventually needed doing.

Still use Tony for the 993 every time anything required and am trying to persuade him to look after my RS2 since no longer really trust anyone else around here. Tony is very approachable, only does Porsches and always communicates well about what needs doing and offers choices before going ahead with expensive work - sounds obvious but sadly not all mechanics follow that procedure.

In short, I'd recommend him very strongly.
