Wrong price or bargain of the year??

It's a scam mate. Quite common on ebay, autotrader and pistonheads. If it looks like its too good to be true it probably is.

Here's a response from the seller

Hi,

I must apologise for the delay in response, but I'm literally overwhelmed by the number of offers. I have recently relocated to Slovenia for business. The Boxster is here as well. I can and will arrange transportation to UK.

As you probably noticed, the price is rather low. But since it's a right hand drive car, not even a dealer will offer me a better price here. The fact that it's still UK registered did not help either. Genuine reason for sale: my business didn't work out the way I planned. Due to amount involved, I only accept bank transfers or third party transaction mediator.

I am the registered keeper and there is no outstanding finance on the vehicle. The car is in excellent condition, the bodywork is immaculate, no scratches, dents or hidden defects as well as the interior in excellent non-smoking condition. I am willing to let the 2003 PORSCHE BOXSTER 3.2 S go for £ 9,780 GBP.

Please get back to me and let me know if you wish to proceed on this basis.
Cheers!

Sounds familiar eh??

This has all the hallmarks of a scam - you pay the money and wait, and wait, and wait for the car and, somehow, it never turns up. You will probably find that the bankers draft or other financial documant will have been altered/cloned etc.

Avoid this one like the plague.

AUTOTRADER!!!

What rubbish - it's still on the website - just checked by doing a search for boxsters between 9k - 10k

They emailed me this morning confirming it will be withdrawn in next 24 Hours so should be gone this time tomorrow [;)]

There was at least another one on the other day, they seem to pick the price point 10.000 and its always a 3.2, and do you know what im ashamed to say if it wasnt for this forum, I would probably have enquired about them lol...
