Morning All

A bit of help please, (well the first question at least !!)

How can i check if a 03 model year ? 996 Turbo has the X50 option ?? been told she has it, BUT !!
Any help would be usefull

TIA

Should be on the options sticker under the bonnet & also in the service book. Make sure the VIN numbers tally with the car!

Thanks Nick, yep all the vin/option numbers tie up fine,
am serching for the X50 option !! must be there somewhere, all the option codes only mention the leather surrounds etc, ie loads of x-- numbers, no codes for the sat nav,phone,cruise.roof. xeons etc as normal !!

Should be IX50, I believe. Of course, it may have been fitted after production, in which case you'd need to see invoices.

Thanks Guys,, no X50 in the service book or under the lid,
Have just spoke to last OPC who serviced in Nov, they put the vin number into the machine and confirmed she does have the X50 factory fitted, they remembered the car,

So, a post-production upgrade. There should be a hefty invoice (£8K plus, IIRC) to cover this & it would be an advantage to have this when selling the car on.

?? so fitted at a later date ? and then put on Porsche system as having it fitted ?
Can not see why is not listed on the stickers, but then, the other options are not ? ie sunroof, sat-nav,phone,cruise, memory & heated seats, etc etc,
I have none of the normal ? number codes bar C16 & 09991,, all the rest start with X ie XEA,XKL,XMA etc,etc which all seam to be about various leather and carbon fitted,

Thanks for the info, its sounding like a special build !Can not remember the exact expresioin the man at Porsche GB called it ?? But for 64.50, and a few weeks, they can request a full build spec sheet from the factory May be worth it, as sure has a load of "bits"

Regards TJ

My understanding is that if the car was imported and sold by Porsche GB at first registration then they already have the build sheet details on computer. It's only the older cars where they have to refer back to the factory. They'll probably still want to take your £64 quid if you want an official Porsche GB header letter with the build spec on it but should be able to do it in a few days rather than weeks.

Ian.
