Any members have any thoughts and experiences on this method of paint and car body protection considering having it applied to my new car coming Sept the dealer says just leave it and have a respray on bonnet etc rather than having film applied....

Well I had it applied to my new 981 a year ago and just love it. Number one you can just relax when following a truck up a gritty road etc. Number two when removing dead insects etc just rub as hard as you like. Number three it's almost invisible, my OPC admitted he hadn't spotted it last week when valuing the car. I will definitely be having it on the next car.

That's great to know I'm looking at using invisifilm at Cheadle Hulme.... seems that the reviews have been good from my research.... Thanks again Curious2??

I have had this on the last three cars I have owned. It is absolutely fantastic. XPEL ultimate is a self healing film that really does do what it says on the tin!

www.paintshield.co.uk

The above company is based in Peterborough and is owned by Tom and Anne whos service is second to none. They have done the first two McLaren F1's as well as all the top marques.

Wherever you have it done make sure that they do NOT knife the film on the car otherwise you run the risk of the paint being knifed !. Paintshield use computer scanning of the car and the patterns are all precision cut to fit the car with no cutting.

The latest generation film is SUNTEC Film and im having my 991 done next month (fully covered). With this film you can use any sealants and waxes that are petroleum based whereas on the XPEL Ultimate you have to be careful what you use on it.
