Its here, got my stuff thanks too Andy Sweetenham at promax, cheers mate.

Still need to figure out what i am goig to do about the FPR pipe. Will be down at the OPC tomorrow so might order the pipe off the per 90 models see if i can fit that.

All i need now are new tyres at the rear!!

Anyone want to buy some 225/60-16s Contis, almost new?

Did you mean 225/50's

Anorak on

60 profile would be too tall, and 225's should really be on the front of a Turbo, 245's on the back

Anorak off [8|]

Slim take a look at the photo gallery here:

About 5 shots down you can see the solution that Kenny Bradley (on the Shetland Islands) employed to fit the FPR from his Guru kit.

He can now jump from island to island in 3rd gear [:D]

They are the fronts - he wants to buy a set of 4 matching Toyos.

I thought maybe they are also the size for the rear of an S2 / 220 Turbo, but that should be 225/55 16.

how much do you want and what dept are the tires in mm?

The tyres were fitted onto the car befor i picked it up from Shirlies, they have now done about 600miles i hvent measures the tread but it must be 8mm.

I need new rears but want to swap to Toyos as Fen says, i would rather get same tyres on all wheels.

Oh and i the two Contis paid for 1 front Toyo i would be more than happy..

Thanks yes i have seen that, but i will prob go donw the route of getting the standard pre 90 fittings and put them on my car keep all the origional stuff intact.

Will be having a good look tomorrow and maybe ordering the pipes for the FPR. Will prob fit the Accuboost tomorrow, fit the rest in a couple of weeks.

Cheers

Good news on getting the kit Slim.

I have no doubt it turned up a lot quicker from Andrew than if you had been on to Danno.

From what I understand Rick is still waiting for his bits from Danno and he started the ball rolling befor Eynsham.

Was out in my Gurued beasty today. Big, big grins. Had to see a guy out the back end of Cambridgeshire, lots of deserted A and B roads, was a bit wet and slippy in places though. Great fun as you drive down the road, hit boost and the car slows down because both rear tyres have broken loose, shift second and it does it again - Not too shabby with 255's at the back.

That was clever. Did you like the way I incorporated both topics of this thread? [;)]

Your man on Rennlist answered:
190 standard, 220 on Autothority chips, 240 on Guru. All tests back to back within an hour (and all at the rear wheels).

Superb. looks like an extra 50bhp at the wheels then. must be nearer 70bhp extra engine. Should take the car easily about 300bhp and 300lbft.

Definetly need to get those new tyres. Will prob not get the kit fitted for a couple of weeks, going to ge a pipe made up with the male thread on one side and push o other side, about 2" long at most and connect everything up that way.

Also on Rennlist the Americans are trying to find as many different ways as possible to calculate that flywheel is 15% more than rwhp.

In their panic to find multiple (ever more complex) was to calculate the same numbers I've lost sight of whether the drivetrain loses 15% of the flywheel power (I think this is right) or the flywheel is 115% of the rwhp (which I think is wrong and would be slightly lower).

Anyhow it looks like (for a 220 car at least) you can expect a noticeable 20%-25% boost in power.

Well I know when mine was put on the rolling road it came up with a 'corrected' flywheel figure of 287bhp but I also asked for the raw figure at the wheels which was 244bhp.

Now 85% of 287 is 243.9 so that is pretty close, but 115% of 244 is 280.6 so add that to your confusion Fen [:D][:D][:D]

The flywheel figure can only truly be measured with the engine out and bolted into an engine dyno, anything else is just a fudged, near estimate. Maybe we can convince Slim to remove his and dyno it properly [;)]

Hi Slim,
Don't know if I missed it elsewhere but in preperation for my weekends fitments, did you manage to get the pre 90 bits for the FPR fitting, if so do you have part numbers and prices or did you make an adaptor as per the titanic pics?
Tony

I got my local independant ot make up a pipe, i will take a pic of it at the weekend. Its a great job, looks good cost me £15!!

At the monet according to my A/F i am runnig slightly rich on 16psi, once i connect the Accuboost to the wastegate directly (missing the CV) i will adjust to 18psi and see how things go.

I am desperate to get the deCAT and new rear section for the exhaust, but have to wait for month or two. []

Tony,

Use a T in your Purasil kit and connect in the FPR that way - just like they do on a 220 - you can then block off the 250 dedicated feed from the manifold to the FPR.

Alternatively will the Purasil tube stretch over the dedicated nipple off your manifold?

John i think he is talking about the fuel pipe not the vacuum hose!!

So cutting the current union off and using a jubilee clip isn't an option then?

Not sure if thepipe is long enought once you cut off the union, as it goes a bit into the pipe. Anyway doesnt cost much to get one made up so you can keep the old one and swap over at any time.
