House extension is progressing nicely and at last the scaffold is down and materials nearly gone so I am mostly taking the 951 out this weekend.

I cant bl**dy wait, I feel like a kid at Xmas time (daft int it) [8D][8D][8D][8D][8D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D][:D] ................10 weeks without it starting or being driven, poor old girl.

Mind you with the forecast here in North Herts its going to either drown in the rain or be blown away by the gales [][][][&:][&:]

10 weeks ? May I suggest you check the battery. You do not want it not to start when you happily turn the ignition.

Hi Paul,

I had a large extension built this year. I hate to tell you, but the scaffold coming down was about the time that the finishing costs started to become the sucking in of teeth by the builder and the discussions with the bank by us! [&:]

My poor old girl was abandoned on the road without her cover for 5 months, during the longest sunny spell since 1976. My paintwork has suffered noticably.....

Where are you in Herts? I've got a day's garden work to do Saturday in Gerrards Cross, and am optimistically hoping for a sunny day. [:)]

Prob not Mr Coull [;)] as shes got a dry/leaky rear damper, elastic ARB bushes and warped discs []

Now next year is a different matter as she will have a few quid spent on her over the winter

However any runs/meets etc im sure I`ll be there if I can (BTW where is Oulton Park one of the few circuits I`ve never driven so I may come as a spectator)

My batterys are always kept on an Optimate `optimiser` [;)]

Hi Paul

I`m in North Herts (near Hitchin)

I am a project manager (see my web site) so I dont have a builder..................just pain in the *ss subbies (not really) as Ive got some really good people I know from all disciplines that I can highly recommend.

Speak (meet?) soon I hope.

If you are coming from the South then J18 onto the A64. If from the North then M6 then right onto the M56. Come off at J10 (left) and follow the A49.

Hope this helps.
Cheers,

At last, managed to free up some time and got the old girl out in the fresh air today [:)] First time in nearly 3 months.

Started 1st time 1st turn of the key, oil pressure up at 5 after a coupla secs, gentle run for a while until warmed up, check for leaks, tested the brakes and the suspension/steering and then thrashed it within an inch of its life (straight roads and dual carriageways).

Superb, brilliant fun, my son loved it. Forgotten how good a car it is. Everything worked perfectly. Almost boringly reliable (thank goodness)

Ho hum back to the building work []
