Yet another barry boy 944 !!

Thought those tail lights looked familiar, I think we discussed this one a while back when it wasn't yellow.

I would be very suprised if anyone on here even gave this a second look. Despite the mods, which "possibly" took time and some mone the registrations say's it all ...BIG COJ? Sorry I don't think so ...

OK this is not good - I just puked up the really nice curry I had for dinner...[:'(]

Also, just how exactly can that be both a 944S and a Turbo?!

Anything above ÂŁ2995 seriously considered? I'd rather blow that on a weekend of practical educational fun in Amsterdam than that thing!

Oh come on chaps, ignore the hideous bodywork, silly numberplate and dubious re-trim and I think we can all agree that yellow really suits it. (and yes, I am being serious)

Such a shame that before the respray those sideskirts weren't removed. I wonder what they are hiding?

On a trip to Le Mans a few years ago a friend and I came up with the idea of a TV show called "De-pimp my Ride". We thought it would work well turning Mk1 Escort Turbos back to standard, but this would also make another prime candidate.

A quite 2-minute research has revealed that the present owner is a "body stylist" - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/profile.asp?memberId=90411

And that he did the "work" himself - each to their own and I mustn't mock (too much), but what was he thinking!? Judging from his website, his area of expertise seems to be fast Jap cars so no surprises on the choice of rear lights then!

Oh, and here's the PH thread from last summer on what he did with the lights - http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&t=573885&mid=90411

I think it's very mean to take the mickey out of Peter E's new car [;)]

I like the alcantara / leather upholstery idea, looks nicely done as well - just a bit bright for me

As for the rest - [:'(]

Bloomin' cheek![:D]

I think he might just have got away with the rear lights if he'd have filled in the number plate recess. Or dowsed the car in petrol and struck a match. One of those two options would definately solve the problem.

So not really the "Ultimate" 944 then?

It does feature one of my pet hates - a Turbo badge when it hasn't got one. And 205 bhp from no more than a rechip?

There are some nice touches but he should have adopted a more Bauhaus approach - less is more.

The lights appear to be copies of Strosek parts. They didnt look too bad on the Strosek 951, although they were fitted into the apeture in the same fashion that the OEM part is, rather than being filled-in...

Might try to find out where it was done. A re-trim on my front seats would be nice. Colour to complement Cobalt Blue? Rears are coming out.
