Yet another insurance thread

It must have been at least a month since one of these threads has appeared. My brother has a '99 996 C4 insured with Liverpool Victoria, and their renewal quote has just come in at £400 more than last year's premium (£800->£1200). "It's a change in our rating for this model" say the insurance company. I am also with LV, so fear the worst at renewal in November.

Anyone had any good quotes recently? Insurance profile: 49 yrs old, full protected NCB, 6 points, everyday drive with some business use, SL6 postcode, garaged.

Thanks,

Richard

try Privilage on line you fill out a form and get a quote there and then but they move on a dailiy bases got mine for £620 98 C4, i have 3 points full no claims bonus car is garged in a rural location, and i am 32 also have a named driver, i hope that helps.

Can I suggest that caution needs to be used when dealing with some of these "Mass-Market" budget insurance companies...

This thread contains some information on what may, or may not be covered...

Definitely worth asking what is actually covered, and what would be paid out on, in the unfortunate event of a claim.

Richard, be aware that if any of parts fitted to the car non standard eg (above base spec) LV will no longer be covering you on your next premium. Id check before taking my word on it though........
They have changed their policy. No parts except wheels and disability aids will be insured, also they dont cover trackdays now either

Do a search on here for LV and on other porsche forums and you will find out the facts

Try Lancaster. I have a classic policy with them but i know they have regular policies also. Very nice people, good quality of cover and reasonable. I pay £700, i'm 28 and any modifications are allowed as long as they are informed.
