Well I've finally sorted the wiring out thanks to all who pointed me in the right direction (no pun intended)
I've connected the GPS antenna and loaded the disc, I've changed all the user settings, so I thought it's all working lets give it a try.

I live in Leicestershire and was travelling to home from Kettering, I entered the appropriate details and of I went, got on the A14 and it was telling me to turn right in 400yards and to be careful as there was a ferry crossing.

To the best of my knowledge there aren't any ferry terminals on the A14 and no right turns, I read in the manual I downloaded that sometimes you have to calibrate the system, the unit hasn't prompted me to do this and the manual doesn;t tell me how.

Any ideas please or is it just a case of driving round while it sorts itself out.
thanks
Nik

Nik, I'm guessing that this a second user unit? You must reset it to take into account your vehicle or the satnav will get somewhat confused... From my limited understanding of how Satnav works!

Log on the Becker forum and see if they have any clever ideas... Becker also have UK support number, i'll dig it ot and post it - once i'm up....

As far as Ferry terminals on the A14 - I'm sure i read somewhere that most ferries are waterbound? Living in landlocked midlands i cannot recall seeing P&O having a major presence in Leicestershire!
