Yoko AO32's? newbie tyre question

Hello all,

Just bought my first 911 so forgive the numpty question.
I have a spare set of Design 90 rims and want some dedicated trackday tyres for them. The usual suspects, P-Zero corsa, Michelin pliot cup etc. don't come small enough. I noticed the Yoko AO32's would fit but are not N rated. I'll only be using them for trackdays so I doubt I'll see much over 110mph (Snetterton maybe?).

Would they be ok?
Will I need to beef up suspension components to deal with the greater grip?
I currently have a sports set up with a lowered ride and stiffer spring although I don't know exactly what make the shocks are.
Any advice gratefully received.

cheers

Kristian

Not daft at all -they're all still asleep!

Your car should more than cope with these tyres, especially with the sports set up.

You may need to tweak on a bit of neg camber in the front to help the turn in.

Regarding 'N' rating, do a search and you'll find a lot of info.

'N' rating merely implies that the tyres have been tested by porsche for their use and some/most 'N' rated tyres have stiffer sidewalls.

Any doubts, consult manufacturer!!
