Yorkshire Porsche festival 3/07/2016

Just a reminder that some of us despite doing Fishburn Wings & Wheels on Saturday will definitely still be heading down to this on the Sunday. Why just have one day of Porsche fun when you can make a weekend of it? Joking apart we do recognise that you can't do everything and I must stress it's not a requirement, our aim is to offer you a varied and fun calendar throughout the year and as such during the busy summer months some events will clash or fall within a day or two, it is inevitable. Please do not feel you need to attend everything. The only thing that I stress, as always is let us know if you can or can't make it.
Lotherton is always a great day out and if you wish to show your car you must pre-register with R7. Don't forget tickets are available at a discounted rate through the club shop for this.

Anyone heading to Lotherton on Sunday, we'll be meeting as usual at Scotch Corner Services at 8.30am.

Would love to join you all but it's a bit of a hike from Madeira! Have fun and I hope the sun shines for you. See you at August club night😎😎😎

Hi All, particularly those in R7 who gave us a warm (slightly windy) welcome, thank you.

I've had a great day. After meeting at Scotch Corner for a bacon sarny with several R3 members and the same again of 911uk members we headed down the A1 towards Yorkshire and once we had completed the 50 limited roadworks we then had a spirited drive to Lotherton Hall. The turn out was great, with tons of different models on show from a 356 to GT3 RS's, and an especially good showing of Boxster Spyders, as well as stands from Strasse, Malton and several other non porsche related stands for kids and other interests (no fudge though). The weather held off all day although it did look like rain from time to time. After a fun day of good food and even better banter we headed home in a smaller convoy with the highlight for me being on the A1 when I looked in my rear view mirror to see Dave's 944 turbo, Marks Boxster, and Dave's 997 spread across all three lanes in perfect symmetry like a shot from Top Gear.

Thank you to all those that made the day happen, it is very much appreciated. I hope to see you all again soon. (Maybe at Witton castle in August!)

Chris

Some belated pics from last weekend. Cracking day with fantastic company and cars; it didn't rain either.

Chilling out with cake and wine.
