Yorkshire Region'™s Annual Concours at Harewood House

Hi, quick question hopefully!

Was thinking of coming to this event (my car was from Strasse and my old 964 is up there somewhere too!)

Saw that tickets are bookable direct from the house itself- how does one go about entering the concours? Do I need to pre book and is there any extra charge for this? Or just enter when you get there? (Might as well as I prepped mine for the modern event at Silverstone!!)

Thanks

Craig

Hi, I think it is closed now, forms had to be into Mark a short while ago. I received my rules and regs with scoring system today. There are twenty cars entered. I could be wrong so a call to Mark would not go amiss.

Craig

If you're not a Yorkshire Region member you can enter the visitors' concours. You don't need to enter in advance for this just turn up on the day and ask one of the parkers / helpers where the visitors' concours parking is.

Craig,

To back up what the others have said, firstly the closing date has gone but as you're not a Yorkshire region member you are more than welcome to come along and enter the visitors class, as Ian said just turn up on the day and make yourself known to the parking team and you will be directed to the right place.

Thanks guys- will turn up on the day and see about visitors. If not possible, no worries, will just show support for you R7 guys!

Hope its not as hot as the Modern event at Silverstone:p

Cheers

Craig

Hi guys,

Another quick question for you...

If I enter my car in the Visitors Concours, is there an issue with certain items being modified and not OE spec?

Thanks
Chris

I'm hoping to attend on Sunday, am I actually a member of R7? I'm a yorkshire based member of the club so I guess so?

What is the form on the day? just turn up, pay and park or do PCGB members get some where to park?

Sorry for the silly questions but quite looking forward to it...unfortunately my car isn't good enough for a concours!

Regards,

Neil

Chris,

The visitors class doesn't distinguish between modified/non-modified so no worries just turn up on the day, tell the parkers that you are for the visitors Concours and you will be directed towards the display area at the top of the field, the entrance to this area is on the right hand side.

Look forward to seeing you on Sunday.

Neil,

There is no specific area for club members so just turn up and park up with the rest of the Porsches in front of the house, you won't be able to miss them unless you get there super early and there will be parkers to help out.

Hi can anyone advise me. I wish to enter the visitors' concours comp on Sunday and I was wondering if the cars need to be in place by a set time.
Best wishes Greg. [8D]

Greg,

Ideally you need to be in place by 11.30 - 12.00 at the latest.

Thanks for that Mark, see you Sunday!

This is not really a reply - more of a greeting. I shall be coming along tomorrow for my first time out as a new member and giving my 993 daily driver a Sunday treat. Sadly I think the concours way beyond my fettling skills - even if my application was in on time.

As a seasoned visitor (small children to play area) I am looking forward to a valid grown up reason to visit.

If any one has any tips for the day such as where to park and what to look out for that would be appreciated.

Jon

Jon,

Sorry I didn't see this until after the event, I hope you came along and enjoyed the grown up element despite the weather.

Mark

I did, thanks. I had to drag a small wet boy around with me which limited my time for chatting so I'm sorry I didn't make contact. May be at another event.

Jon
