It would appear that the region has been divided would someone from the COG committee give further details on what is proposed for all areas of Yorkshire.

How many members are there in Region 7 and have they been given the opportunity to consider these proposals.

What funding is received from the Porsche club and how will this be used for all members?

Hi Rita,

First of all Happy New Year to you and John.

The Region has not been divided, it is still one single Yorkshire family. So as such there are no proposals to consider other than which events to continue enjoying.

Just for information there around 1100 members in the Yorkshire Region and growing, I am not sure on exact numbers at this point in time but could find out if you are really interested.

I am not sure why you would think we have been split, especially without any formal announcement or implied announcement.

As a Region we are funded in the same way that we have always been funded, a formula gives £2 per member capped at a £1000. As such our Region has always been capped at £1000 and we also receive £150 for holding a concours. These funds are used at our discretion to the benefit of all members, although as I am sure you can imagine it doesn't go far per member. It is used to provide the events that we put on for members.

All the best Mark.

Hi Mark
As a member who lives South-east of Sheffield I have always felt as though I am caught in the middle so far as regional meetings are concerned; somewhere almost midway between R7 on the edge of Leeds and R8 almost in Derby. I for one am looking forward to the meetings in Todwick and hope to encourage Porsche owning friends to come along too.

Thanks for this new development,

Simon

Hi Simon
I too live in the South East of the region. Am looking forward to attending the Todwick meet up. I have no excuses for not doing so, as that's where I live. Only trouble is I may not drive there. lol.:ROFLMAO:

Does anyone know the date of the first meet up at The Red Lion, Todwick? Some Porsche owners have been in contact to ask about the date. When it was first mentioned, the date was 10 April. I see that the original thread regarding this meet up has disappeared.

The first meetings at the new locations, Todwick and Beckwithshaw will kick off in April, the 10th I believe is correct for Todwick. I am sure Roger will correct me if otherwise. He has been working very hard to secure the right locations for meetings and will be pleased to see owners showing interest in attending.
I hope to have a suitable location for an Eastern meeting very soon, again the plan will be to start meetings in April as the lighter evenings should encourage more people to go out for a drive.
Pete

Hi Frank and thank you Peter
The new club night at The Red Lion, Todwick will commence on 10 April. I proposed to make an announcement and start a new forum post at the end of January, however, I’ll bring that forward. I’m delighted that there appears to be strong interest from members in the area.

Many thanks for the info Roger and Pete. I'll let my enquirers know, and look forward to seeing all there.
Frank
