At the last count 28 of you had looked at my post under engine comparment fusebox - and not one reply. Please help; I wnated to use the car this weekend...

I had indeed read your previous email, but seeing as my fusebox is in a similar if not worse state than yours (I think part of it had melted at some point, with some wires bypassing the fusebox all together) I thought it prudent not respond with info that may well be wrong and cause you more problems than you already have. I was hoping that response's you recieved would be of use for me too.

Sorry if you thinks no-one cares, some do its just we don't all have the answers.

Try some of the other porsche forums too...

I read you email and as I work from home could have helped almost straight away...
The trouble is i've just sold my SC and it now lives in France - so a bit far a way to nip out for a look.

I even looked at the back of my Haynes manual at the wiring diagram - but I understand them even less than I understand Sudoku.

Come on guys - someone out there must be able to nip out and have a look?

I 've made a diagram for you , this is a 79MY car and people may have changed the wiring in the first five years of ownership before I got my hands on it. The wiring colours don't make sense to me according to the wiring diagrams so tread carefully but eveything works ok in my hotrod. I had a little difficulty recognising the exact coulur of one red wire as it was a little burned and discoloured, also the wires are old so recognising for instance if a red wire was brown or a dirty red or brown/red was difficult. Most are as written.

I've only just read this so I hope you've got your answer by now!

I have a 1981 SC so I will take a look under the bonnet if it's of any use.

You will need to repeat the question though.

Hey Bones - if your first post 12/4/06 was about me; please see my post under engine compartment fusebox, 3/4/06

Either way congratulations also!

Hi and thanks Simon and in case you misunderstood me Ill clarify I was suggesting its nice to know the outcome of advice so the database of knowledge is increased on here, I think this forum is shaping up we just need more technical info and articles.
