Hi everyone,
anyone tried this experience (youdrive@porsche) at the silverstone circuit.
I believe you drive your own car but not sure if you get to try out the
low friction track
ice hill
kick plate etc
in addition to the test track
I know you get to finish the half day with a drive in one of the latest porsches. Im also not sure if you get a full 90 minutes driving.
If anyone has done this could you let me know what you thought of it before i give them a call,
thanks,
David

Have done it twice now in my Boxster. You may get a choice of which parts of the course you go on - the Ice Hill froze over winter and they've also had problems with the kick plate too. I personally didn't get on with the low friction surface at all, the Armco is too close to the track to have much fun on the handling circuit, but the kick plate and ice hill are great

I went late last year, i assume your going for the one that costs around £160 as that includes the ice hill, kick plate and drive in there car (i belive its called the control circuit). Apparently the low friction track isnt used anyomre when you take your own car as people were complaing it was wearing their tyres too much. Personally im not sure how your tyres wear more when its low friction but thats what they said to me.

These should be working again, it's their repair that meant the Post-Classic event on 22nd May was late-notice.

In fact, why not book for that? You get to see the centre and use a few of the facilities for a mere £10. [8|]
