Your Ace Thoughts!

As I wrote an article about the Ace Café that appeared in Porsche Post a year ago, Kish Hirani has now asked me to write something to mark the first anniversary of the Porsche Meetings at the Ace.

It seems to me that the meetings are all about the members (as well as solid food and big cups of tea), therefore, if you've been along to a Porsche night or three at the Ace over the last twelve months, it would be great if you could leave a sentence or two about your experiences in this thread. I'll then edit togeher a selection that will appear in Porsche Post in the New Year.

Thanks "" and Merry Christmas to everyone!

Edit: Thanks Richard, edited to pin it to the top. - Kish

My first memory of a Porsche night at the Ace is not of the mouth watering array of cars there, but the idiots showing off in the road outside, including one, who, after one burnout too many, blew up the engine in what was probably his daddy's Passat. My, how we laughed!

It is the variety and history of the Ace that attracts us, it may be full of Porshes but there are always bikes there as well, so you get an interesting mix of people. Not to mention the silly boy antics on the road outside the Ace, just to spice things up but these days they happen less and less.

Ah yes memories and in my case mammories (the FHM girls photoshoot [:)])

Seriously is was a chance to meet people with a far far greater grasp of all thingies porsche that helped and enlightened me on porsche ownership. Made a fair few friends and who can forget being labeled a security risk on the london eye run

Thanks to those that have posted replies. Any other anecdotal stories about people's experiences at the Ace this year would be very welcome.

Cheers,
Richard.
