Being a dyed-in-the-wool air-cool fan, I am seriously tempted by this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1431920.htm?

Whaddaya think my ole chums...?

I m seeing this car from the perspective of a fast-road car. This is, bar the light and desirable top spec carrera 2.7 and carrera 3 the car I would plump for.

The majority of these "upgrades" can be undone but why would you? A 3.4 lump, if it is blueprinted and balanced to the same factory clubsport standards and done by the handful of porsche meister mechanics in the UK that can be trusted, then this sounds very much like a no-brainer IF and WHEN it would pass a pre purchase inspection whereby a due diligence regarding bodywork, accident history, checking out of the history, cosmetic and mechanical condition (engine rebuild yes, but gearbox synchro's/dogteeth, G50 actuation fork, etc) would pan out positively.

Keep us posted.
