Zanzaibar Boxster S

Hi all

I wonder if anyone can help me in finding a Boxster S, Manual but I really want one in Zanzibar Red.

I've checked the main Porsche used car site and nothing is coming up there, also Camtune don't have one.

Does anyone know how many UK S's are in Zanzibar ?

What are my best options to find one?

I'm looking for a spec to really drive the car - what would you recommend?

Appreciate your assistance - this being my first posting in the Boxster forum

Cheers

A cracking colour - found mine through the web and would suggest that is as good a route as any. Depends on the sort of driving you are going to do as to what spec you want - 18" wheels and lowered suspension take out some of the comfort but 'stick' better whereas heated seats at this time of the year are a must [:)]

Good luck on the searching

Is that a metallic red? If it is, then i am 99% certain that Autobahn in Coventry have one.

I think it's more of a metallic orange - originally a GT3 colour.

The standard 'S' suspension and 17" wheels provide a very nice handling ride/compromise. Going for sports suspension and 18" wheels might be too compromising.

Agree about the Heated Seats - so cosy. Doubles the no. of days you can drive with the roof down.

[8D]Wind Deflector doubles that double again :ROFLMAO:

Yes you are right, the car that Autobahn have is Orient Metallic. The Zanzaibar red car they had was a 996

Hi all

Thanks for your info - in the end the only car I could find was a 986 at the Porsche dealer in Leeds but it sold 2 weeks ago[:(].

Anyway to cut a long story short have gone out today and ordered a 987 S in Zanzibar (which had to be ordered as a special colour).

The car is for my girlfriend as a suprise as she's always wanted one[;)].

I've gone for

- Boxster S, Manual
- 19" sports design rims
- painted centre console
- painted role bars
- upgraded audio
- black half leather sports seats
- park assist [;)]
- wind deflector [:-]
- half alu trim
- quick shift box[:)]

I'm now trying to find some images of a Zanzibar boxster - can anyone help or point me in the right directtion?

Thanks

Personally, I would ditch the 19" wheels (18"s will provide better handling and ride) and add Heated Seats.

I am a huge fan of Zanzibar. Your Boxster Mk2 will look great in that colour.

Whilst I agree that painted roll hoops will look good, I wouldn't bother with the painted centre console/interior etc. It will look OTT. Go for FULL black leather instead. I also think that rear parking sensors spoil the look of the car. I would also spec embossed headrests.

I've got half a dozen pictures of a Zanzi' Boxster S ....very nearly bought the car from Aberdeen OPC in the spring. Let me know your email address and I'll send the pics on; at least I'll try - not too clever with pic sending!

Unusual and very individual colour for a car! The one in Aberdeen had Metropole (sp) blue leather with contrasting orange stitching...sounds hideous but was actually very nice.
Just couldn't quite muster the courage to buy it and ended up playing safe with Basalt Black!

Are you sure about 1/2 leather seats_
I thought the "S" came with full leather...

Full leather is extra. Remember you need to pay extra for climate now. What Porsche give with one hand, they take away witht he other.

Lucky girlfriend - I had to marry Steve before he'd buy me a boxster!!!:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Wow, you're going to earn some serious brownie points with that particular gesture (have to add that I would dump the 19" wheels too but each to their own).
