I was looking on the 3.2 forum and just realised that you now own my old supersport nice to see the old girl is still being looked after.I owned her for several years and never had any problems with her.
Happy motoring,
Chris

I bought it with impact bumpers, so how do you know it's yours?

Wanna drive it, for old times' sake?

I've done alot to it meantime. See June 2004 911&PW

I sold the car to Mike at hallmark cars and he told me that you had modified it and there was an article in Porsche 911 World.I recognised your name and the red interior. You have certainly spent a lot of money on the car ,it looks like a much younger car now. It's nice to see that it's been looked after.

Chris - Oh! I see. Mike is a nice guy. If you see him, say hello from me. Anyway, the offer to drive it still stands. Currently, it's stinking out my garage with the smell of petrol so that needs to be looked at urgently. Now would be a good time to give up smoking!

Brian - this is my 3rd car from Hallmark. Found the service acceptable. They don't like 911's, being more into their V8 muscle (which was why I went to see them in the first place).

To both: The 911 just sorta said: "I'm different, buy me, buy me". At that time I didn't know a torsion bar from an 11-blade fan, so when that lanky kid (I forget his name) told me it was the first of the G50 models, I thought to myself "that's a good thing, isn't it?" Fact of the matter is, it was and still is the last of the 915's (thankfully in excellent nick).

Sale of Goods Act says that goods must be as described. Coulda got my money back if I'd pushed it, but the 915 really never bothered me. I thought G50's were over-hyped - until I drove a 964, then understood what all the mags were yammering on about. Anyway, after I joined PCGB I placed a post about a 915-G50 conversion to then learn that it would be prohibitively expensive.

I didn't find the 915 gearbox much of a problem, but as you say the gearbox on your car is in very good condition.I did initially look at a 4pd turbo and didnt like the gear ratio's and i ended up replacing the supersport with a turbo le.Funnily enough it was also featured in911 pw.
Where are you based maybe meet up at a regional meeting,it would be nice to see the old girl again.

Wanstead, E11.

I've dug up the article on your baltic blue car, read it thru and am wondering if you've given it a good thrashing - or do you consider it too collectable?

Certainly looks the biz, tho'!!

And, if by some strange quirk of fate, maybe I end up with it in six years' time!!
