Anyone have any veiws or pro's / cons of these exhausts (from the turbo, bend down, then bend straight out under the bumper).
I am toying with having one fabricated, and woundered if anyone had heard one, or knew of any down sides apart from extra noise.
I was hoping less back pressure would help performance, and that it might not be toooo noisy what with the dampening effect of the turbo (comapred with a tw*t who drives past my house on the odd ocasion at silly times of night in a Mk.5 Escort with what must be the bare manifold poking out the bonnett!
Yes, I do live in Essex!

Thanks for the interest.
Well i got it done, and its the best £100 I have spent.
The pipe is straight out the turbo in 3inch stainless, with the wastegate next to it in 11/2 inch.
The noise on start up shocked me, think griffon spitfire on tickover, but on a run it isnt too noisy, with lots of turbo wistle on and off the gas, and pops of flame even on a gentle run without using any boost!
Will be getting my 935 boost controller working in a few weeks with dyno runs included.
It will be interesting to compare output with quiet pipe to the zork tube.

One thing I have learnt, from many years of Porsche ownership, is that it is difficult to improve on the engine power output by fiddling with the exhaust.Another thing is that you would now probably be banned from all racetracks in UK due to noise.

I took it to Kent yesterday for a few bits to be sorted on it.
The noise was OK till i got to maidstone highstreet, when it popped back on the overun, and an old lady dived for cover on the pavement.
Its making me smile as i type this, (is that sick?) but at the time i did feel bad.
I will take some snaps when i get it back, but it may be there a while.
I left with a long list of jobs, and maybe a lot of work if the C.R is wrong.

Check out fabspeed - they do both zork and conventional straight through exhausts. Interestingly they do not quote any extra power for the Zork...just more noise.

I have the straight through at present and sometimes wonder if I would like to switch to the zork...my only concern is the risk of unwanted attention from the boys in blue!
