I also think those external grilles look awful. You need to get the PU off and do this....[;)] http://www.porscheclubgbforum.com/tm.asp?m=646687

The black car with silver grilles looks terrible but I was thinking that a silver grilles on a silver car might look OK and blend in better. They may even look better than the black slats but I wanted to see a photo to make sure.

Does anyone have Zunsport Grilles fitted to a silver 996 Turbo ?

If you do, can you some photos of what they look like please [:)]

The Zunsport site has a black turbo with silver grilles and they look awful [&:]

+1 for the above, had rads replaced and done exactly this, still don't know why Porsche haven't made this standard yet ??

Not a 996, but here are black Zunsport grilles on my Arctic Cayman. And I don't think they look awful........

Agreed Richard - a) because they are black and b) because they don't fill the whole space. Compare with...........

Thanks Richard. Do you think Silver grilles on silver car would look good ?

Not really. The silver ones look a bit bling to me. I hear what you say Alan, and tend to agree about the Zunsport Turbo grilles. The opening is much larger than the C2/4, and even the black ones do look a bit prominent on a silver car. IMO, of course. Also, IIRC, you have to either cut the black plastic surrounds on the C4S/Turbo or remove the PU to remove them for the Zunsports. Given that, I would prefer to fit mesh behind the slats (which I did on my Turbo).

Email sent I think they make the car look 'beefier', although not a perfect fit BUT they will stop a rock & protect rads & condensers

Hi Richard, thanks for posting picture as I was at work & no access to my files...... I was just trying to give the view that if black on black looks ok, would SS on silver!! Cheers as always Rgds Paul

Yep, I'll be there! I'm part of the 911 Parade Lap and also the Silver/Red 50th Anniversary display. Should be a good event!
